Fortuna’s is family-owned and operated by Patti Fortuna-Stannard, a 4th generation sausage maker, her husband Paul, and her son Chris. We will interview Patti at the family’s Italian Market on Main St in Manchester, VT.

“Our family is proud of our heritage will continue to use the family recipes and expand on our specialty salami line of products being “all-natural, nitrate and gluten-free and made in the USA,” exclaims Patti. “We have been a sausage & salami mfg. under the USDA since 1991, but we have been making dry-cured salami for over 130 years. As a family business owner, we strive to keep things the same way our family members have before us to assure only high quality, natural & traditional products…as they should be!”

Fortuna’s® produces authentic old-world Italian dry-cured sausage, handcrafted in small batches, using only the finest & freshest ingredients. The pork they use comes from humanely raised farms, with no GMO’s and the curing process is the family’s ancient drying techniques from over 100 years ago. They believe this is how it should be done to achieve the best, an aromatic, authentic salami flavor like ours!

Their signature salami, SOUPY®, also known as Supri®, or a Calabrese Sopressata, is a recipe their grandparents brought here with them from Calabria, Italy, over a century ago. They continue to use the same recipe and process to create this unique to Fortuna’s salami.
