Hermit Woods Partners with ReVision Energy on Solar Install. Going easier on our planet.

From sourcing local, organic ingredients whenever possible to ensuring our employees make a living wage, our commitment to sustainability within our community and for our planet has always been a major part of how we measure our success.  This made the decision to work with ReVision Energy a no-brainer. They have been both educational and inspirational.

Since October of 2020, we have stepped up our sustainable practices by offsetting a portion of our electrical usage with solar panels. NH-based ReVision Energy, Brentwood, NH, installed a 16-kilowatt grid-tied solar electric system.  When the sun is shining, the 50 solar panels on the roof of our winery produce electricity that is either used in real-time by the winery or fed back to the grid where it benefits our community (and earns us a credit). Each year, the system will generate roughly 18,530 kilowatt-hours (kWhs) of electricity, offsetting the equivalent of over 32,500 miles driven in a gas-powered car.   To see what our winery’s system is producing, both today and across its lifetime, click here.
