Grapes come from the famed malbec growers in Chile, South America picked at the perfect time and shipped via refrigerated ship to the east coast. This is a classic grape used in French wines but was wiped out by disease there … it has found a new home that it seems to really like! These grapes were in great balance at crush despite the long journey… The grapes were gently crushed and then pressed with our water-powered bladder press to extract all the flavors. This wine was put into a small French oak barrel for added depth and complexity. This wine is drinking fine now but should mature well, reaching its peak in 1-3 years.
