Celebrate Valentine’s Day With Wine and Chocolate
Is there any better pairing than wine and chocolate? We’re hard pressed to find one! Join us at Hermit Woods Winery on Sunday, February 11th for a special, pre-Valentine’s day event. Our tasting menu will be made up of our three sparkling wines as well as three dessert wines, with and opportunity to sample a fourth, our Deep Blue Reserve. Each of the dessert wines will be paired with a sample of chocolate from one of our chocolate vendors. Included with your tasting will be a Hermit Woods flute which you will take home with you.
From 1:00 to 4:00 we will have three chocolate makers present to offer samples of their chocolates. Vicuna Chocolates of Peterborough, NH, Winnipesaukee Chocolates of Wolfeboro NH, and 143 Chocolate of Gilford, NH will be on hand to answer questions, make recommendations, and discuss all things chocolatey and wonderful. Pick up some sweets for your sweetie, or yourself!

Winnipesaukee Chocolates: Using the finest ingredients available, we carefully blend a uniquely different combination of chocolates for each bar in order to compliment and enhance the flavors of the things we mix in, whether they be coffee or tea or spices, naturally dried fruit, or freshly toasted nuts. Each bar is mixed, molded and wrapped by hand so we can assure you the finest chocolate possible.
Vicuna Chocolates: We are one of New England’s only bean-to-bar chocolate makers. Our cocoa beans are 100% Organic and Fair Trade Certified. We make all of our chocolate from scratch under one roof in Peterborough, New Hampshire.
143 Chocolate: Jake Maxwell grew up backpacking in Colorado and Montana, but not by conquering mountain tops. Instead, he liked following streams to their sources. Through these slow explorations, he developed an interest in foraging as well as a tendency to trace something to its end point—like the perfect chocolate recipe. Sweet, not saccharine.
